Take, for example, SYNC® with MyFord (SE) and MyFord Touch® (SEL and Limited) that take interacting with communications, entertainment and other systems to a greater level of operating ease. Available active park assist, available on Flex Limited, takes the dread out of parallel parking. You’ll also find features such the convenient rear view camera, available on SEL and standard on Limited, as well as rain-sensing wipers that come on the luxurious Flex Limited. Ford technology. Ford designers create features that do more than just make sense. They use advanced technology to make them smart. Conventional cruise control makes sense. But offering adaptive cruise control that can detect when traffic ahead is slowing down and automatically slows you down, then later resumes your set speed – that's smart. And that’s not all. Available BLIS® with cross-traffic alert uses sensors to detect a vehicle traveling in your blind spot or crossing behind you when you’re slowly backing up. There are also available inflatable 2nd-row safety belts that help reduce the risk of injury while providing support to the head and neck. These and other smart technologies — now available on the 2013 Flex.
